Shamanic Sessions
What is Shamanism?
Shamanism is an ancient way of understanding our relationship with ourselves, nature, the people around us, and the unseen or spiritual aspects of life. It is not one single religion or belief system, but an umbrella term for many different traditions and practices that have developed across cultures around the world.
At its heart, shamanism is about connection, healing, and restoration. It invites us to look beyond the surface of our everyday experiences and explore the deeper parts of ourselves—our emotions, unserving patterns, experiences, intuition, relationships, sense of purpose, and connection with ourselves as well as others.
In many shamanic traditions, life is understood as deeply interconnected. We are not separate from nature, our communities, our ancestors, or the spiritual world. What happens within us can affect our relationships and surroundings, and our relationships and environment can affect us.
One way this work understands difficult life experiences is that they can sometimes leave us feeling disconnected from parts of ourselves. We may lose touch with our confidence, joy, creativity, sense of safety, intuition, vitality, or other qualities that once felt natural to us. Shamanic healing practices seek to reconnect with these parts and bring them into greater awareness and relationship with who we are today.
This can look different for every person. Sometimes the work is about understanding an experience that still feels unfinished. Sometimes it is about releasing an attachment or pattern that no longer serves us. Sometimes it is about reconnecting with forgotten strengths or discovering a deeper sense of purpose.
What to Expect
Depending on the type of session, we may use conversation, meditation, visualization, ceremony, drumming, intuitive exploration, or other shamanic practices. The session will always be tailored to support you, make you feel safe and comfortable.
You may experience emotions, memories, images, sensations, insights, or simply a greater sense of clarity. There is no “right” way to experience the work. Often, the work unfolds over time. The Helping Spirits know exactly what you need and thus the work will always be done in a good way.
You remain an active participant throughout the process and have the choice to engage at the level that makes you most comfortable. You are not required to believe anything or experience anything in a particular way. The intention is to support your own exploration and allow you to discover what feels meaningful and true for you.
Some sessions may focus on:
• Gaining clarity around a question or life situation.
• Releasing emotional or energetic patterns that no longer serve you.
• Reconnecting with parts of yourself that feel distant or forgotten.
• Exploring relationships and attachments.
• Creating a greater sense of peace and balance in your environment.
• Connecting with personal strengths, intuition, and inner wisdom.
• Discovering your gifts, purpose, and unique way of moving through the world.
After the session, you may want some quiet time to reflect on what came up. Integration is an important part of the process. Sometimes the most meaningful insights continue to unfold over the days or weeks that follow.
There is no expectation that you will have a profound experience or a particular outcome. Sometimes the work feels powerful and emotional; other times it may feel subtle, peaceful, or simply clarifying. Wherever you are, the intention is to meet you there and support you in moving toward greater connection, awareness, and wholeness.

Unlocking Your Unique Medicine & Working With Your Medicine Council
Discovering what makes you uniquely you—your natural gifts, strengths, wisdom, intuition, and ways of contributing to the world. Your “medicine council” is a way of connecting with the inner and spiritual sources of wisdom that can help you recognize, understand, and develop these gifts.
Together, these practices create opportunities to reconnect—with yourself, your own wisdom, your environment, your relationships, and the spiritual world. The intention is not to tell you who you are or what your path should be, but to create a space where you can listen more deeply, release what you are ready to let go of, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that are ready to be remembered and expressed.
