Reiki

During a Reiki session, you remain fully clothed and comfortably seated or lying down. The practitioner will, guidely, place their hands just above the body.

Each experience is different. You may notice warmth, coolness, tingling, a sense of movement, heaviness or lightness, deep relaxation, emotional shifts, or simply a feeling of stillness and peace. You may also notice very little sensation at all. There is no right or wrong way to experience Reiki.

Reiki is a gentle Japanese energy practice that offers a quiet space to slow down, relax, and reconnect with yourself. Reiki works with the life-force energy—the energy that moves through and surrounds us—and the belief that supporting this energy can encourage greater balance, relaxation, and well-being. Our vibratory essence of life measures 52 to 78 gigahertz, which is billions of cycles per second. You can compare it to a dimmable light bulb, if you're vibrating at 52, the light is dim and thus the room is darkened while turning up the light, (your energy) you can see better thus think, move, and feel clearer.

Reiki can be approached as a spiritual practice or simply as a gentle, mindful experience that gives you permission to pause and receive. There is nothing you need to accomplish or force during a session. You are invited to simply be present and allow the experience to unfold in its own way.

What to Expect

We’ll begin with a brief conversation about how you are feeling and anything you would like to focus on during the session. This gives us an opportunity to create an intention for your time together.

Once the session begins, you can settle into a comfortable position. I may place my hands above different areas of your body to focus the energy. You are welcome to communicate throughout the session if you need to adjust your position, change the level of touch, or simply want to pause.

You may experience:

• Warmth or coolness

• Tingling or subtle sensations

• Heaviness or lightness

• Deep relaxation or sleepiness

• Emotions or memories surfacing

• A sense of calm or spaciousness

• Insights or moments of clarity

• Simply a peaceful period of rest

After the session, we’ll leave time to gently reconnect and reflect on anything you noticed. Sometimes an experience feels immediately calming, while other thoughts, feelings, or insights may continue to unfold afterward.

There is no expectation that you have a particular experience or outcome.

The intention is to offer a safe, peaceful, and supportive environment where you can pause, receive, and reconnect with yourself.

Give yourself permission to slow down, release what no longer serves you, and reconnect with the peace, balance, and light within.
